Anchor Care Duty of Care Statement

Anchor Care staff have a professional obligation to provide a duty of care to all clients. In certain circumstances, our team may need to use professional judgement to meet our obligations under relevant legislation.

There may also be situations where our staff are legally required to disclose information, even without your consent.

These circumstances may include:

  • When your safety or the safety of others is at risk

  • When staff become aware of suspected criminal activity

  • When required by law (for example, a court subpoena)

  • To meet mandatory reporting obligations, including reporting to child protection authorities

  • When you are unable to provide legal consent, but your authorised representative (such as a parent, guardian, or power of attorney) provides consent on your behalf

Anchor Care will always act in accordance with applicable laws while prioritising the wellbeing and safety of those we support.

Anchor Care Statement of Commitment to Child Safety

Anchor Care is committed to child safety and to acting in the best interests of children at all times.

We believe that children have the right to:

  • Be supported in environments that protect their wellbeing

Anchor Care operates under a zero tolerance policy for child abuse. All concerns, disclosures, or allegations of abuse are taken seriously and managed in accordance with our child safety policies and procedures.

We will uphold our legal and moral obligations to report concerns about child abuse to the appropriate authorities.

We respect all children — including:

  • Children who are our clients

  • Children of staff and clients

  • Any child who may come into contact with Anchor Care

We value diversity and are committed to supporting and respecting children of all:

Anchor Care maintains clear policies, procedures, and staff training to ensure these commitments are upheld.

Invoicing

All client contributions are charged in accordance with relevant government guidelines.

You and your Client Adviser may review your contributions at any time, particularly if your circumstances change.

Anchor Care aims to issue invoices on a monthly basis. However, we reserve the right to invoice at different intervals where necessary.

Your invoice serves as a record of services delivered and associated charges.

Invoice Queries

If you dispute any part of an invoice, please contact our Accounts or Care Team and outline your concerns regarding the invoice amount.

If both you and Anchor Care agree that an adjustment is required, your account will be credited accordingly.

Payment Options

Payments may be made in advance or upon receipt of your invoice using the following methods:

  • Credit card payment (receipt number provided)

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) via internet banking

  • Direct Debit (where arranged)

  • Cheque or money order made payable to Anchor Care

Refund Policy

Approved refunds will be returned using the original payment method (credit card or nominated bank account).

Transparent Pricing

Costs, funding eligibility, and your potential contributions will be discussed during your initial assessment with Anchor Care.

While costs vary depending on your individual needs, support requirements, and funding arrangements, Anchor Care is committed to:

  • Clear communication about fees and contributions

  • Affordability and transparency

  • Compliance with all relevant State and Commonwealth legislation
